Wow! First blog post of 2018... and first blog post ever, now that I think of it.
Let me begin by saying HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope everyone is as ready for 2018 as I am. While the majority of 22 year olds were out ringing in 2018 with glitzy dresses and midnight kisses, yours truly was asleep on the couch by 11pm... oops? If you didn't already know, let me be the first to inform you, I'm a bit of a grandma (about 80% of the time). That's just ME! The start of a new year usually means new goals, new ambitions, and new beginnings. Yes, it's exciting to press reset in our lives and reinvent our visions, but let's be sure to stay true to who we were in 2017 (and every year before that). Savvy Shields, Miss America 2017, always says "we are a product of the people and experiences that we have encountered." She couldn't be more correct, so as we get jazzed for new beginnings in 2018, let's pat ourselves on the back for being the individuals that we've always been!
