Money Talks Monday (4/30/18)

For this week's Money Talks Monday I am going to do something a little unusual. Rather than a tip, I am going to expound upon a point I, like all the other women competing for Miss North Carolina, was challenged to make.

Today I am going to share with you one of the women who most inspires me. Competing in the Miss North Carolina Competition live on my hometown ABC affiliate is especially significant to me as one of the women who most inspires is none other than ABC's "Shark with a Heart," Shark Tanks', Lori Greiner. Having recently earned my Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, I am very motivated by the marketing genius of Lori Greiner. Lori holds 126 patents and has successfully launched over 500 products.

However, the most impressive thing about Lori is her life's philosophy. "The responsibility of success is to give others the means to become successful." Annually Lori donates over $5 million to charities across the nation and over 250 hours of her time to mentor struggling families to achieve greater financial stability. Lori is a firm supporter of those who protect and defend us; our service men and women as well and local police departments. Her other charitable and volunteer credits are most significantly seen through her work with the Kind Campaign, the Trevor Project, and CASA for Children. Furthermore, Lori is a partner in the national organization, Charitybuzz. Sharing my major, my passion, and my platform, ABC's Shark Lori Greiner is certainly an inspiration to me and to many other people; particularly women with aspirations in business.
